With our first networking event happening December 9th, we want you to be prepared. What should be on the top of your to do list? Get business cards. Yes, perfecting your resume is important as well, but you don’t hand those out when you meet people at a networking party, now do you?
;)
1. Got Print
I’ve used Got Print personally and have recommended them to numerous friends. You can design your own cards from scratch, use their templates, or use one of their designers. You can also order a sample pack for free. They have lots of paper and size options in addition to some fun choices like rounded corners to make your cards stand out. Best part? Fabulously affordable.
Order minimum: 100
Average Cost: $10-$25 for 100 cards
2. Moo Cards
MOO Business Cards have some unique things to offer. They are known for their mini cards which are less than half the size of regular cards. You can also get up to 50 different designs in the same order for no extra cost. This is especially great for photographers and designers. It’s a portfolio in your pocket!
Order minimum: 50
Average Cost: $43.98 for 100
3. Staples
Why? It’s easy. You can order and pickup in-store in 4 hours. If you leave things to the last minute, Staples is your best bet. You can upload your own design or use a template. You can even sort their templates by industry and profession.
Order minimum: 100
Average Cost: $30 for 100 cards
;)
4. Your Local Graphic Designer
If you have the time and some cool ideas, contact a graphic designer to get something totally unique to you. Your options here are endless. This is a good choice for people who are overwhelmed with the idea of creating something on their own. Usually, a designer can print them for or give you the finished file for you to use at the printer of your choice.
Order minimum: Whatever you want
Average Cost: All depends, but be willing to pay a bit more for something personalized.

5. DIY
If you’re on a budget, making business cards is as easy as opening Microsoft word or Photoshop, buying some business card paper, and using your own printer. This method just takes a little more trial and error. You can also get creative. For example, I’ve seen woman who made her “card” into a stamp, and puts it on cardboard.
Order minimum: Whatever you want
Average Cost: Paper, $10- $20
;)
What have you used or done? Any experiences with any of these options? We want to know, share in the comments.
